Saturday, April 29 – 8pm: Columbus Folk Music Society’s FolkSide Coffeehouse presents local group, Sour Cherry Pie (Phil Hart & Steve Rolfe). Expect catchy tunes with thought-provoking lyrics that Phil has been writing since the early 70s. Thoughtful lyrics about real stuff with a healthy dose of humor.  Held at: Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Avenue (Clintonville).  6-7pm Open Jam; 7-8pm Open Mic; 8 pm Sour Cherry Pie. Suggested door: $7; $5 CFMS members & students; under 12 free. Bring a can of food for our local pantry. Poster here:

Saturday, April 8: 6:30-9:30pm. A benefit event for the 2017 Central Ohio Folk Festival will be held at the ElVaquero’s (in Clintonville). Full food service and bar available.
7 pm: Irish Music by Whiskey Maggie
8:15 pmish Americana music by Halfway Home.
$10 donation at the door. ElVaquero’s: 3230 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, 43202. Come out for a fun evening, and bring someone along!

Sunday, April 23, 3 - 5 p.m.: The Columbus Folk Music Society will host a Sing-Along Concert at Byrne's Pub featuring The Folk Ramblers (Bill Cohen and Carl Yaffey). The concert is a benefit for the Central Ohio Folk Festival. Location: Byrne's Pub – 1248 W. Third in Grandview Heights. With Bill Cohen on guitar and Carl Yaffey on banjo, they will lead us in singing songs such as: If I Had a Hammer; Sixteen Tons; Puff; Charlie on the MTA; Kum Ba Ya; This Land is Your Land; Where Have all the Flowers Gone? and many more! Enjoy the atmosphere of Byrne's Pub (including outdoor seating) with tasty food and an afternoon of good fun! No door, but we will "pass the hat."

The Folkside Coffeehouse.
Last Saturday of September, 2016 through April, 2017 (excluding December). Held at the Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave. in Clintonville. Jam session, 6 P.M., Open mic, 7 P.M., featured performer, 8 P.M. Suggested donation: $7 general public; $5 students; $5 CFMS members. Under 12 free.
